But it is not the case. The commutator segments in the commutation equipment are actually not numbered. However, in order to borrow the bias wiring, and also for the needs of technical communication and recording, we number the commutator segments in the commutation equipment, which are divided into 4 cases. : 1. The number of the commutator segment when facing the right-line winding; 2. The number of the commutator segment when facing the right-line winding; 3. The number of the commutator segment when facing the left-line winding; 4. Milling of commutator segments:
  
First, file the wiring of the commutator segment to the same height as the commutator segment. For slotted commutation equipment or hook commutation equipment to be changed to slotted commutation equipment, it is necessary to mill the part of the wiring of each commutator segment. Notched for easy wiring riveting. The thickness of the milling cutter is a little larger than the size of the enameled wire used. The depth and length of the slot milling can be observed according to the original parameters. The milling position should be in the middle of the commutator piece, preferably coincident with the original slot.
