The general commutator controls the direction of the electromagnetic field by opening and closing the coil, and at the same time on one side of the coil, the current will always work. On the other side, the current always flows. This ensures that the proper torque is always produced in the same direction, otherwise the coil will rotate 180° to one side and then switch directions.

With the continuous advancement and improvement of technology, the technology used in the factory has also been improved accordingly. And thanks to improved technology, the commutator is done electronically via encoders or Hall-effect sensors, and these sensors monitor the rotor's position to determine when and how to energize the coils.
